>> | !///SWFAnts #ADMIN# 2jan2023(mo)22:24 No.93568 SWF P2R1Something broke at the data center that I'm using for my Internet connection. Happened December 23rd, Friday evening, basically the worst timing due to people celebrating Christmas. My server was fine, it could still archive threads on /f/ through a different connection, but it was inaccessible for visitors. |

>> | Joshex 4jan2023(we)01:25 No.93606 OP P4R3>>93568 Glad to hear it wasn't anything serious. the people at the data center probably spilled somthing somewhere during some sort of company christmas party. probably involving booze and the old "we can do it in here, no one will find us in the server room" :P at least thats what I'm imagining now. prior to this I was imagining several other outcomes like: 1: Ants had family over suddenly and had to shut down something critical to the site to prevent someone seeing what he does with his life :P 2: Ants fell asleep on keyboard with a beer in hand and it spilled. I should have remembered not many big sites are self hosted. Now I can mentally blame it on server staff. |

>> | Anonymous 13jan2023(fr)11:49 No.94820 C P5R4is the site ok? feels like it's been slow after the downtime sometimes the front page takes tens of seconds to load for the first timei did this ping thing: >$ ping -c60 -i15 swfchan.com >PING swfchan.com (your-ip) 56(84) bytes of data. >(...) >--- swfchan.com ping statistics --- >60 packets transmitted, 47 received, 21.6667% packet loss, time 889769ms >rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 31.005/40.582/86.170/13.813 ms and i guess each one of those dropped packets is a page load that would've hanged |

>> | !///SWFAnts #ADMIN# 13jan2023(fr)15:55 No.94821 SWF P6R5>>94820 Could be that it takes a while for Cloudflare to build up a cache of swf files, which means extra traffic for a while. Or it could be something else that I just tried to tweak (as usual I keep things a bit vague on purpose). Hopefully it helps. |
