is this the future I am dammed to? having to use a non-standard compliant (due to being wip) player that can't handle a significant portion of the library to play flash files that don't actually work in any actual official flash player?if/when ruffle updates to be more accurate and breaks these, what then? |

Hai, your resident flash-fix-it-all anon speaking.
There is a PlaceObject2 in Frame 1 which is placing nothing at layer 91. This is a normal thing by flash specs, and is supposed to be ignored by the player. Instead it crashes it. What a mystery. |

I think you misunderstand poor flash optimization for improvement.
Of course if people were to develop only for ruffle end users, the intricacies of that program become more important than the old ones in flash, but that doesn't make it "better" in any way. Just different in a very useless way.
Also, I have to come across a single flash yet that doesn't work with flash in browser that ruffle can play. |
